For the last few months, I’ve been quietly building something to fix a problem I could never get on top of myself: I make things worth sharing, and then I never share them enough.
A blog post goes out once. A YouTube video gets one promo tweet. An affiliate link sits in a doc. The work is done — the promotion never is, because promotion is a grind of rewriting the same idea nine different ways for nine different platforms, at the right time, over and over.
So I built an agent to do it. Today it comes out of preview. SlingAgent is live at slingagent.com.
What it actually does
Drop in any link you want to grow — a product, a post, an event, a service, an affiliate link — and SlingAgent turns it into a steady stream of promotion:
It writes the promos. Fresh, platform-tailored copy for each network — not the same text pasted everywhere.
It makes the visuals. AI images per promo, and short-form vertical video for Reels, Shorts, and TikTok.
It picks the timing. “Smart” scheduling studies when your links actually get clicked and posts just ahead of that daily peak.
It tracks everything. Every link is a branded tracking link, so you see real clicks — and where in the world they came from.
It can post for you. When you’re ready, hand it the keys and it publishes on autopilot. Until then, everything waits for your approval.
And the part I use most: repurposing. Point it at a YouTube video, a blog post, or a podcast episode, and it spins that one piece of content into a week of posts. You can even connect a channel or RSS feed once and have every new thing you publish get promoted automatically.
How it works, in three steps
Add a link (or paste a YouTube/blog/podcast URL to repurpose).
Review what it generates — copy, images, video, and a schedule. Edit anything.
Approve, or switch on autopilot — and let it post and track for you.
No content calendar to babysit, no swipe files, no “what do I post today.”
Promote from anywhere: the browser extension
You don’t have to be in SlingAgent to use it. The SlingAgent browser extension (live on the Chrome Web Store, and it works in Edge too) lets you promote whatever page you’re already looking at:
Click the toolbar button and hit Promote this link to send the current page into SlingAgent, pre-filled and ready to generate promos.
Smart capture reads the page’s real title and description — so links arrive enriched even on sites SlingAgent’s servers can’t scrape.
Right-click any page or link, or use a keyboard shortcut (Alt+Shift+S to promote, Alt+Shift+O to share once).
Add a personal API token and Promote adds the link instantly, no new tab.
Share Once: for the one-off share
Not everything deserves a whole campaign. Sometimes you just want to share one thing, one time — and still get a tracked link out of it. That’s Share Once.
From the extension (or the app), click Share Once and SlingAgent:
Mints a trackable short link for the page you’re on — copy it and paste it anywhere.
Lets you pick which connected accounts to post to and write the message (one for all, or tailored per platform), with your own image if you want.
Posts it now, or schedules it — at your best time that day, or an exact time you choose.
Every click is tracked in your analytics like anything else — but Share Once links live on their own tab, so your quick one-offs never clutter your managed links. Change your mind later? Convert a one-off into a full managed link and start generating promos for it on a schedule.
Buddies + the Promo Store: promotion is better with friends
Two features I’m especially proud of, because they make promotion reciprocal instead of lonely.
The Promo Store is a shared marketplace for promo creative. Publish a promo you’re proud of so other creators can use it, and shop promos others have shared to fill your calendar faster. The crucial part: the store shares the content, never your commission. When you adopt someone’s promo, SlingAgent automatically re-links it to your own affiliate tag — so you earn on the clicks you drive. The author just gets credit for how many people adopted it and the clicks those drove.
Buddies takes that personal. Connect with specific creators — by email, even if they’re not on SlingAgent yet (we’ll invite them) — and your buddies’ shared promos collect in one place, where you can:
Adopt them (re-linked to your tag, so you earn), or
Amplify them — post a buddy’s promo under their link, so they keep the clicks and commission while you lend the reach.
It’s the reciprocal favor: you boost each other. Buddies amplify buddies.
And here’s the part I care about most: this is a real leg up for smaller and newer creators. If you’re just starting out and your audience is tiny, you don’t have to wait years to build reach before your links go anywhere. Team up with a buddy who has a bigger following, and they can amplify your promo to their audience — under your link — sending those clicks and commissions straight back to you. You don’t need a huge platform to benefit from one; you just need a buddy who has your back. It turns audience size from a wall you’re stuck behind into something creators can lend each other — the little folks get to punch above their weight, and the bigger creators get the same favor returned.
The reporting goes deep
This is the part that separates SlingAgent from “AI writes you some captions.” Because every promo carries a tracking link, you get a genuine analytics suite — not a vanity number:
The essentials, with movement — total clicks, unique visitors, and active days, each with a ▲/▼ change versus the previous period. Click any day’s bar to see exactly which links were clicked.
Where your audience is — a world map of where your clicks come from, filterable by country, region, and per network, so you can see that your X clicks skew US while LinkedIn skews Europe.
When your audience clicks — clicks by hour and a best day × hour heatmap, so you post right ahead of your real peaks. (This is what feeds “Smart” scheduling.)
What actually pays — log your affiliate payouts and SlingAgent computes earnings-per-click and a top-earners scoreboard, plus Platform ROI — clicks and estimated earnings side by side per channel.
Deeper reports — scheduled-vs-actual posting health, link retention (a click-decay curve that tells you which links are evergreen vs. fade fast), a revenue timeline, and a dedicated Share Once report.
A/B copy testing — run two hooks against each other, each with its own tracking link, and let clicks pick the winner. The winning copy then feeds future generation, so your writing compounds.
An AI advisor — ask your analytics questions in plain language (”Which platform is working best?”, “When should I post?”) and get answers grounded in your numbers, plus a dashboard suggestions card and an on-demand deeper analysis.
A Monday email digest so autopilot never runs silently: last week’s clicks, top posts, your biggest mover, and what needs fixing.
Export to CSV, or pull everything programmatically through a read-only Analytics API on the top plan.
The networks
Live right now: Bluesky, Mastodon, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Facebook, and Instagram.
Pinterest and TikTok are rolling out as each platform finishes its app review — if you connect one that isn’t live yet, you can join the notify list and I’ll email you the moment it opens. I’d rather ship the networks that work today than make you wait on approvals I don’t control.
Pricing
I wanted a real free tier, not a trap:
Free — 10 AI promos/month, 1 social account, 3 links. No card required.
Starter — $12/mo (or $10/mo billed annually): turns autopilot on.
Pro — $29/mo with a 14-day free trial, no card up front — adds AI images, the Ad Kit, the Promo Store, Buddies, and the AI advisor.
Unlimited — $79/mo when you’re running promotion at scale, plus the Analytics API.
Start on Free, and only pay when it’s clearly earning its keep.
Why I’m excited about this one
Most “AI content” tools hand you a wall of text and wish you luck. SlingAgent is built to close the loop — generate, schedule, post, and measure — and then it goes further: promote from your browser, share one-offs in a click, cross-promote with friends, and actually see what’s working down to the hour and the country. It’s the tool I wanted for my own stuff, and now it’s yours too.
If you’ve got something worth sharing — and you do — go put it on autopilot.
