Brief: Using the Public Web with Copilot for Security
Using web content to enhance Copilot for Security knowledge.
Inside the plugins plane in Copilot for Security there’s an option to enable or disable content downloads from the public web. With this enabled you can request that Copilot for Security search and use the content to respond.
Once enable you preface your prompt with Use public website or Use public web to invoke the activity.
Ideas:
Use public website https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2017-3506 and summarize the security vulnerability to be included in a report to my manager.
Use public web https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/copilot/security/whats-new-copilot-security and summarize what is new for June 2024. (this idea attributed to MVP Morten Waltorp Knudsen)
Use the public website https://www.bing.com/news/search?q=top+security+news+stories+this+past+week and summarize the most current cybersecurity news.
NOTE: The public website you use needs to contain static information. For example, trying to connect to a web page that has JavaScript enabled will result in something like the following support statement.
