One of the more contentious areas for Security Copilot has been the pricing. Anywhere I go to talk with customers and partners, that’s one of the first topics they want to discuss.
Microsoft has just announced a new pricing option for Microsoft Security Copilot users. This update is for you.
What's New?
An additional overage pricing option is now available alongside provisioned pricing to accommodate unexpected spikes in Security Copilot usage. This ensures your workloads will run seamlessly, even if you exceed your provisioned SCUs. Here's what you need to know:
Provisioned SCUs: Use these for regular, expected workloads. They continue to be priced per hour at $4 per provisioned SCU for all currently available geographies.
Overage SCUs: Prepare for any spikes in usage with overage SCUs, priced per hour at $6 per overage SCU for all currently available geographies. You will only pay for the overage SCUs you use over your provisioned amount.
Optional Limit: You can set an optional limit on overage SCUs for improved billing predictability.
Dashboard Tracking: Use the in-product dashboard to track usage.
