If there’s one piece of feedback I hear constantly from customers is that it’s difficult to keep up with the number of changes in Microsoft’s products. The pace of feature releases and product updates for Microsoft Security product can feel a bit overwhelming at times and not knowing when a new capability is available means not using it even though it may resolve a longstanding request or issue.
This is one of the reasons why I started and continue (going into the 3rd year) to deliver weekly newsletters for Sentinel (https://rodtrent.com/t8c), Defender (https://rodtrent.com/p88), and now Azure OpenAI (https://rodtrent.com/jtl) and why they have done so well. These newsletters cover the new stuff - both the major announcements and the small, nuanced enhancements that are also important.
This may seem like a discussion from 2010 because I’m talking about RSS feeds, but the awesome Docs people at Microsoft recently began rolling out the much-requested RSS feeds for our security products’ What’s New and Release Notes pages.
Here’s the full list so far:
Microsoft Sentinel: https://aka.ms/sentinel/rss
Defender for Cloud: https://aka.ms/mdc/rss
Defender for Identity: https://aka.ms/mdi/rss
Defender for Cloud Apps: https://aka.ms/dca/rss
Defender for Endpoint: https://aka.ms/dfe/rss
365 Defender: https://aka.ms/365d/rss
I will add to this list as new feeds are exposed.
P.S. The RSS links will not replace the newsletters as the RSS feeds only capture the major announcements. The newsletters will continue to capture all the great work being done to enhance the products as well as capture all the awesome contributions by the related communities.
