Update: Garmin Chat Connector Now Supports Garmin Nutrition Data
Enhance Your Fitness Journey: Seamless Nutrition Tracking Now Available in Your Favorite AI Chats
Hey everyone,
If you’ve been following along with the Garmin Chat Connector since its launch, you know it’s all about making your Garmin health and fitness data conversational—right from your favorite AI chat apps like Claude, ChatGPT, or even Grok. No more digging through the Garmin Connect app; just ask natural questions about your steps, sleep, VO2 Max, and more.
I’m excited to announce a fresh update: full support for Garmin Nutrition data! Now, you can query your daily intake logs, including meals, calories consumed, and macros breakdown (protein, carbs, and fats). It’s perfect for tracking your diet alongside your fitness metrics.
For example, just ask something like: “What have I eaten today?” And you’ll get a breakdown like this:
Total Consumed: 1,136 kcal
Breakfast: 420 kcal
Snacks: 400 kcal
Dinner: 316 kcal
Lunch: 0 kcal (Hey, don’t skip it next time!)
Macros:
Protein: 56.4g
Carbs: 163g
Fat: 34.5g
Plus, it’ll flag things like hydration reminders or calorie deficits based on your burned energy.
This builds on the existing Nutrition & Hydration category, adding deeper meal logging and analysis. Setup remains the same—grab your personal MCP URL from the setup page, plug it into your AI app, and you’re good to go. If you’re already connected, the new features are available immediately.
